International Naval Survey Bureau (INSB) is a worldwide accepted Classification Society that was founded in Greece four decades ago.  The Society performs marine safety surveys and approvals for ship classification, statutory and marine management systems certification for new builds and fleet in service.

INSB is an authorized Recognized Organization which performs all certification activities directly relevant to the major International Conventions and Codes as stipulated by IMO, national and local protocols of over 28 major Flag State Administrations including the United States Coast Guard where it is rated top ranks in the USCG Port State Control report 2015.

INSB has a network of Exclusive Surveyors in every geographical region in the world and field survey office in all major ports worldwide.  In Sub-Sahara Africa the regional headquarters is located at 8 Liverpool Road, GRA Apapa, Lagos.  The Regional CEO is Engr. Akin Olaniyan FNSE.

INSB-Africa classifies over 55% of vessels under the Nigerian Flag and is recognized by all the IOCs and Lloyds P&I Clubs as a leading Non-IACS whose status under the Paris and Tokyo MoUs is very impressive with no RO related detention for the past 3 years.
